Here are some quick items to check out before you publish your next site.

These simple reminders might also help if your next design feels like it’s missing something.

Logo

• Bold enough?
• Holds it’s own place in the layout?

Navigation

• Clear and easy to recognize?
• Is the navigation consistent in location and style?
• Home page link?
• Sitemap link?

Content Div

• Enough whitespace? ( 15-25px Typical )

Page header

• Does header background image clash with logo?
• Does header make the “top of page” easy to scan?

Footer

• Contact Information?
• Copyright Info?
• Misc Links?
• Advertisements?
• Respected / Friends links?

Consistent Feel

• Are there any drastic changes in style?
• Color Pallet Consistent, or does it need tweaking? colourlovers.com

Fonts

• Do the fonts used compliment the page design?
• Are there too many fonts used?
• Can you read the font well? ( Contrast )
• Are the Title <h1><h2> Tags and the smaller “Content Text” in balance with the page proportions?

Separation

• Is there good separation between interface and content areas? ( Whitespace \ Color Contrast )
